Waterton River

We get stoked every time we get to go the Waterton…  mostly because it’s our best chance at getting good sized browns on dries.

The Waterton river is our brown trout stream, flowing north out of the rugged beauty of Waterton Lakes International Peace Park It eventually joins the Oldman river. Meandering its way through beautiful foothills topography and then through the prairies providing many miles prime brown trout habitat before emptying into the Waterton reservoir. Brown trout in the 16 to 20+ inch range are the most common catch on the river and coaxing them to the surface with dry fly is definitely the most fun way to catch ’em.
